How to change the spawn protection on a Minecraft server

Last updated on Jul 29, 2024

Adjusting the spawn protection on a Minecraft server is crucial for managing player access and preventing unwanted behavior. This setting restricts players from building or breaking blocks within a specified radius around the server's spawn point. By default, this protected area spans 16 blocks in all directions. Customizing this setting allows server administrators to tailor the protection to their server's unique needs.

Note: Spawn protection requires one OP player on the server. Learn how to grant OP permissions here.
