How to find the world seed on a Minecraft server

Last updated on Jul 29, 2024

In Minecraft, the world seed is a code that decides how terrain, structures, and biomes appear in a new world. Locating the Minecraft world seed aids players in copying and exchanging worlds. It's also handy for speedrunning, crafting custom maps, and exploring more easily. Players can create unique challenges with the world seed and share their discoveries with the Minecraft community.

Note: Running the seed command in-game requires OP permissions.
