How to kick or ban players on a Minecraft server

On a Minecraft server, various console commands are helpful for server management, like kicking or banning players by their name or IP address. Players granted OP permissions can use these commands from within the game, making it easier to moderate more extensive or competitive servers with strict rules. Moreover, the ability to kick or ban players swiftly ensures a fair and enjoyable environment for all participants, maintaining the integrity of the server community.

Note: You can also run these commands in-game by putting a / Infront of each command.

How To Kick or Ban Players on a Minecraft Server

  1. Login to the QuickHost Game Panel.

  2. On the left select Terminal.

  3. Run the following commands below to kick or ban players:

    kick [player] : Removes a player from the server temporarily.

    ban [player]: Bans a player by their account name.

    ban-ip [ip]: Bans a player's IP Address.

    banlist players: Shows a list of currently banned players.

    banlist ips: Shows a list of current IP bans.

    pardon [player]: Removes a player from the ban list.

    pardon-ip [ip]: Removes an IP from the ban list.
